This is a special request for some prayer. My former youth pastor Michael Oldham and his wife Taneka. They just had their very first child, Christopher Michael Oldham born 10/24/09 at 12:48am. 6 pounds 13 ounces. He's being monitored in the NICU for oxygen levels and breathing.

11/03/2009 UPDATE (from P-mo's FB status)
"Today he had a BIG day. The doctors decided during rounds to extubate him and THEY DID! As a result, Taneka got to hold him for the very first time. Continue to pray that he can get the hang of this breathing on his own thing and that he continues to show that he is strong enough to be off the vent. Thank you EVERYONE for your love and support!"

He's been at CHOP and the parents have been staying at Ronald McDonald house since he was born a little over a week ago. This is amazing news right! Now we pray that he gets healthy enough to go home with mom & dad!

We ALL know about miracles ;-) with Aaron and all 5 of those Rhabdomyomas in his heart and the possibility of Tuberous sclerosis and then the bilateral club feet....what a crazy pregnancy...but with prayer, trust and full hope that the Lord would take that burden and just heal my son, I watched each time on the ultrasound machines week after week month after month test after test...genetic counselor after each genetic counselor...what a mess I thought it was. They were trying to convince me to give up and terminate the pregnancy. I absolutely couldn't believe what I heard. Abortion was not in my vocabulary. I believe that a life starts at the moment of conception. God has a plan for each one of our lives and I don't care how smart you are or think you are or what school you went to. A life is a life. It's God's choice, not yours, not mine. That is my opinion, take it or leave it...Anyway, getting off track.
Around December sometime they gave me an amniocentesis test to look at the amniotic fluid that surrounds baby and it has cells and other substances that can give clues about the health of the baby. ( they checked for common heart defects, downs-syndrome and other things)
I got the results of the test actually the day of my "wedding ceremony" and that was the day actually I found out I was having a healthy boy! What a blessed day that was!!! <3
When I went to CHOP (CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA) in my eighth month of pregnancy I believe...(pretty close to my due date, that's all I can remember.) They gave me about a 60min ultrasound, found that the Rhabdomyomas in his heart had actually shrunk a little bit...we were absolutely so happy it was amazing. And that was when I knew God was saying hey Liisa, I have this whole situation under control girl, relax!
I believe he was testing my faith. And that He did!!! Aaron was born healthy only with the bilateral club feet which after five months of casting, a quick outpatient surgery of lengthening his tendons and 3 months wearing the correcting shoes with the bar...he is doing excellent. :-) Thank you all for your prayers, support and love. We needed it and love you all for it.
Now onto our next Miracle Baby!!! <3333 My precious nephew, Andrew LeMar Page who, besides being the cutest little curly headed bright-eyed handsome little 22month old that he is... has been through a lot but God has been continuously showing us His miraculous wonders each day as He has been healing Andrew and showing us what an awesome God we serve.
